Ole Gourmet - Hamilton

I'd tried Ole on Locke St years ago. I wrote a review wherein I expressed my disappointment in the portions and quality as bland. I moved to Stoney Creek a few months back and Ole is located about a block away near Grays Rd on Highway 8. I've eaten there now at least once a week for 9 months. We uisually get the Taco Grande special with an extra Taco Grande. My wife and I agree that the food is good, and the location convenient. Fat B*stard opened recently a couple blocks away and I wrote a bad review of our ordering from there. Ole is fortunate that their food is good, prices reasonable, and that they've no competition who can match them in Stoney Creek. We do recommend Ole for those who enjoy good quality tacos, burritos, fajitas, at decent prices. We both agree though, that Burrito Bandidos in the other end (West end) of Hamilton makes the best burritos and quesadillas in the city. Unfortunately it's a half hour drive so we don't go often and thus it's good Ole is close so we can get our Taco Grandes when we have a desire to eat Mexican style.

Well, we where so surprised when we came in. This place has moved to Highway 8 in Stoney Creek - in a small strip mall looking building, beside a nail place and a pizza place. DONT LET THE LOCATION deter you. The food is INCREDIBLEThe ingredients are home made, the chips are home made and BEST of all the Chipotle sauce is home made and mouth watering.

I've been to so many fast food Mexican fast foods in the GTA. This is by far the best tasting I have ever had. They are number 1 in flavor. The ambiance is not all that great if you like a great taste and quality than defiantly give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

Steak tacos are excellent. nice staff. owner always thanks for the patronage. i recommend trying it out. Im not big on burritos, but a friend is and swears by the ones at Ole.

The owner is over friendly and too "cushie" with the clients. He recently did minor renovations and now is charging too much with less meat to the menu. He's substituting meat with too much rice. This is how good restaurants go down and out of business! His helpers sometimes cheat and charge full price for the daily specials so watch your cash.
