One Duke Restaurant & Lounge - Hamilton

This restaurant used to be a favorite of mine, but recently the experience has been disappointing. I decided to give it another chance in the fall of 2022 and had a decent meal (salmon/beet/pear salad), but on my most recent visit, it was terrible. The restaurant was not very clean, the booths were uncomfortably close together to make room for a "store", and the food portions were stingy. The bathroom lacked toilet paper and both soap dispensers were empty, forcing me to improvise with a pump bottle. The service was friendly, but the kitchen was lacking. The food took a long time to come out, despite the small number of patrons. My vegetarian friend struggled to find a suitable option on the menu and had to settle for a cheese pizza with barely any basil. The wings I ordered were disappointing in both portion size and taste, and the accompanying celery and blue cheese were lackluster. After spending $70 on the meal and some drinks, I left feeling unsatisfied. I may not return unless I hear significant improvements have been made, as there are plenty of other great restaurants in the city to choose from.

This place really hit rocks. My friends and I thought a few half-priced wings and fast beer. The service lasted an hour to get 4 pounds of wings. The server felt bad that she kept us waiting so long that she gave us a free pound wing. When the wings came out, they were unpretentious. We asked for the waiter to compose the uncooked wings and after a call to the manager they said that she could not compose our meals. I then asked her if she would eat the wings she served us, and she said no, but wanted to recharge us for her. She continued to let us know that the reason why they are uncooked is because they are frozen, which is a whole other can of worms. I know the wings were half price, but I still wouldn't pay for salmonella poisoning. If I gave this place a zero star. Hamilton has some amazing spots, this is definitely not one of them.

I sat here with my sister and my husband and enjoyed the food, wings were half price, had oysters and pizza, all went down with a few pints. The service was excellent and served immediately. There is an hour and half a limit for the seat.

The vibe was nice, the Chicken Antojito Bites were super delicious and the Caesar drink was good but we ordered the Charcuterie Pizza and was told they burned it. We received a new one...45 mins. after we first ordered. We took it home in a...box and enjoyed it later. It was my birthday so I was hoping to enjoy the meal at the restaurant, especially during covid where it 's still nice to be able to go out to eat in Hamilton. I mentioned it to a friend who said 'I went there a few weeks ago and they burned the hamburger and had to make a new one '. You guys might want to keep an eye on the stove...
