Trocadero Restaurant - Hamilton

This is the best Itailian food everywhere, my family has eaten 60 yrs there. And the owner Louis is wonderful Thanks again the meal we got for my Bothers Wake.

The service at this restaurant was attentive and friendly. We started with the Kale Caesar salad, which had fresh kale and a delicious homemade dressing. The meatless tomato-based sauce was traditional and tasty, and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

An old timely restaurant with great service and wonderful food. Didnt there were 5 stars due to the sketchy area of the city, but no worries!

My Nona died some time ago... She was from Regusa, Sicily, and she made the best sauces and pasta I've ever had. Your cooking hasn't come any closer. Trocadero not only matched the authenticity of her food, but, with friendly service, and a sense of familiarity, it was as if I were back in her apartment with Nona. And just like Nona, they sent me home with a wave, a smile on my face and a full stomach. Thanks for the nostalgia. I would like to come back :

This place was a gem many years ago a place my family would go for special occasions. We had booked a private room for 40 people last night and the service was dismal. They were to expect us to arrive at 6:30 the menu was...preset so one would assume the meal would have been ready by at least 7pm WRONG closer to 7:45 and don’t even ask about our drinks some of us are still waiting! The waitress and waiter couldn’t figure out how to take a drink order let alone allow us to pay and get the hell out of there. I ended up leaving $60 on a drink order of $45 because it was to painful to watch her calculate the change. Needless to say I would not recommend as for the food it was adequate nothing like I remember. Maybe with more efficient staff the night would have flowed more smoothly.
