I stayed the weekend, and it was fine. I agree with some of the comments in that the King room pics indicate a much larger space. The sliding glass door...
Dan was an amazing bartender and waiter. His drinks were so tasty, we ordered two more! The lemon drop was the best we’ve had. He was pleasant and courteous in every way. Thank you Dan for making our visit to The Breakers so great!! Rooms: 5/5
The Ashworth is one of those hotels that has been around forever at Hampton Beach. We really weren’t quite sure what we would get when we booked. We took a room in the old south tower, and we were afraid the word “old” was a red flag. Quite the contrary! The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff was incredibly attentive! Comfy and clean beds, a fridge, lots of space to put clothes and luggage and a spotless bathroom. It’s right on the main boardwalk and close to everything Hampton Beach has to offer. The hallways could really use some work, with old ragged carpets and dirty windows and doors with fingerprints everywhere, but hey, it IS the beach. The biggest praise goes to the amazing staff! Everyone from the front desk to the valet staff to the housekeeping staff was incredible! We had an unfortunate issue with a domestic squabble in the room next to us. It happens even in the best of hotels. When I inquired at the front desk in the morning about the ruckus they were superb! They issued us a refund and thanked us profusely for our understanding. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and attentiveness of this staff! In a world where no one wants to do hospitality jobs these days, these employees were the epitome of professionalism and always had a smile! The only thing besides the ragged hallways would be the indoor swimming pool. It’s dark and dingy and looks like it hasn’t had an update in decades. Being summer, we had the beach. But if we went in the winter we would have been very disappointed with this area. Even our small grandchildren were very unimpressed. All in all I would highly recommend The Ashworth to anyone looking for a great location, clean rooms and incredible staff. Nice job!!
