Hancock Oasis Bbq

I discovered this restaurant over a year ago while riding my bicycle in Vermont. Despite not being very hungry at the time, I decided to stop by and ended up spending 1.5 hours chatting with the owner and enjoying a meal. He generously let me sample all of his homemade BBQ despite my lack of cash. This establishment is a true gem in Vermont, as the owner does it for the love of it rather than for profit. I am looking forward to visiting again this weekend to repay his kindness. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out.

I love this place! The barbecue is so tasty, especially the brisket. My husband thinks the pulled pork is even better, and the sides are delicious too. Don't miss the collard greens! It's a fun spot to enjoy fantastic food.

Hancock Oasis is truly an oasis! As you drive down Route 100, you will stumble upon this charming roadside Smokehouse with its stone benches and firepit, and you will feel lucky to have found something so special. Larry cooks up fantastic barbecue pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and more. We have ordered takeout from here numerous times and have always been impressed by the delicious flavors of the meat and the amazing sides. My personal favorites are the brisket, cucumber salad, mac and cheese, and collard greens. My husband enjoys the pulled pork, baked beans, and cole slaw. Larry makes all the sides himself, often using produce from his own garden. For $15, you can get your choice of meat, 3 sides, and homemade cornbread. We always end up with leftovers! We highly recommend this wonderful spot. Be sure to give it a try!

The BBQ here is amazing, everything is made with love right on the premises. The service is exceptionally friendly. Even though they ran out of Brisket, the owner gave us some from his personal stash. The Pulled pork was also delicious! The owner is a great guy! The property is beautiful, with classic rock music playing from outdoor speakers. We enjoyed our meal on picnic tables right on the property. It was an incredible experience on so many levels. Thank you Hancock Oasis BBQ! We will definitely be returning.

I stumbled upon this restaurant over a year ago. I enjoy exploring on my motorcycle, so even though I wasn't very hungry, I decided to check it out. I ended up spending 1.5 hours chatting with the owner, talking about various things and enjoying a meal together. Despite not having much money, he was very generous and let me try all of his tasty homemade BBQ dishes. I still owe him a proper Vermont treat. He truly does it for the love of it, not for the money. I hope to return this weekend to show my appreciation. Highly recommend checking it out.
