Another good and cheap vegan restaurant that opens quietly in the late evening if you feel hungry. My food is fried rice and spring roll, decent amount and well packed.
I've been back to Hà Thành in the last 10 years. What originally caught my attention was her bún chu Geldi đậu (now called canh chu Geldi đậu). But now I consider this place just as one of the best chay restaurants in the thks part of the city. Pricier as an average at 40k for a standard hotplate, but I would say it is worth it. I also definitely appreciate the privacy and view of the second floor rooms.
A bit hard to find, but the food was excellent and very cheap. I had the imitation seafood rolls, fried tofu with spicy lemongrass and brown sticky rice. Would definitely recommend and will come back. A great choice for authentic and genuine vegetarian Vietnamese foods. A!
Slightly tricky to locate unless you come here by Grab bike. After Áo Dài Cát Tường, a women’s clothing store, located at 166 Kim Mã, Ba Đình, Hà Nội, you’ll need to turn north into a small alley. Then take the first left down this alley, and the restaurant will be on the right one minute in. The menu is entirely vegan and they do cakes to preorder beforehand. The range of dishes is enormous and the portions are Asian fair. Enough if you eat three or four times a day. There are a lot of mock style dishes and the fish style ones are very authentic looking, and taste really lovely. Elsewhere, where vegan or vegetarian are given as options, you’d most likely be getting some green vegetables and/ or tofu in a sauce. So naturally prices will be slightly more expensive, but hardly dear. A short walk from Lenin Park.
