Hindustani Guest House - Hanumanahalli

This Guest House is actually the Old Baba Cafe..(refer to the Golden Boulders Guide Book, where they say it's closed, actually the name got changed) .it's a historical place as many acclaimed climbers who came to Hampi has enjoyed the hospitality extended by Tamana the Owner of this guest house. He is a sweetheart. I called him Tamana Anna or uncle. His guest house is perched amongst his Banana plantations and paddy fields. The rooms are separate huts, very simple and basic and beautiful. If one is not seeking material pleasures of a hotel and is instead interested in a simple stay with home cooked firewood food with a local then this place is highly recommended. The lounging space is also beautiful and the entire guest house had been constructed by Tamana largely with Organic Materials. Climbers interested in the Baba Cafe Boulder problems should definitely stay here as the Boulder is almost inside the guest house. Some other popular problems such as Double arete, Face/ quality control or the Aeroplane are also not far away from this guest house. For climbers who are not climbing hard for them Sector 6A is also close by. I highly recommend it
