Kafe Gulasch Baronen - Haparanda

Located in the center of Haparanda, this beautiful, old hotel has been tastefully renovated while still paying homage to its past. The rooms were clean and peaceful, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was plentiful and delicious, and available throughout the day. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, parking, and, most importantly for pet owners, pets are allowed. I highly recommend this hotel for both overnight stays and passing through Haparanda. You will not be disappointed.

I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The building is beautiful with an antique lobby and bar, but the restaurant and bar were very overpriced. I had to go back to reception five times because my key card wasn't working, and I made sure not to keep it near my iPhone. Additionally, half of the lights in my room were not working and it was quite dusty. Overall, it was a disappointing stay.

The interior of the restaurant is stunning, reminiscent of the early 1900s.
