Great American Grill - Harbor Creek

This hotel is excellent—modern, fresh, clean, and comfortable, with professional service both at the front desk and throughout the property. It features an outdoor pool that is fenced in and connects to the restaurant and bar area, along with other outdoor seating options. After a long day of driving, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurant. Terry, our bartender and waiter, took great care of us. We ordered a small Caesar salad and a steak with two included sides for dinner. Even split between the two of us, it was more than enough to satisfy. The steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked to medium, with a nice sear, but the side dishes truly stole the show. Chef Grace prepared everything from scratch. Don’t miss the vegetable medley; it’s nothing like the limp, frozen dishes you often encounter with that name. Instead, it was a vibrant mix of fresh, hand-cut vegetables grilled to perfection (including onions, zucchini, and peppers). The mashed potatoes were obviously homemade—soft and lumpy with bits of browned skin. If you’re traveling in the area, there are other hotel restaurants nearby, but we highly recommend this one.

The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Airport was exceptional. Miss Elle, Miss Angel, and the other front desk employees were professional, friendly, and excellent ambassadors for both the hotel and the local area. The hotel was clean, the fitness center was well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet was quite enjoyable. While the building and room furnishings could use some updating, the numerous positives—especially the wonderful staff—more than compensated for the slightly outdated decor.

This was our first visit to this Hilton Garden Inn, and we will definitely be back. Angel at the front desk was exceptional; she made check-in a breeze and even arranged for us to get into our room early, allowing us to take advantage of their shuttle service to the outlets. The drivers were fantastic on both trips to and from the outlets, as well as to the airport the following morning. In fact, the operations manager personally drove us back to the hotel when the regular driver hadn't started his shift yet. The entire hotel was very clean and well-kept, demonstrating truly excellent customer service. We also enjoyed great food and service at the Garden Grill. Normally, we prefer to stay downtown, but this Hilton Garden Inn's proximity to the airport and outlets, along with our early flight, made for a perfect choice. On our next trip to Savannah, we plan to book the same kind of flight and stay at this HGI again.

The sofa bed was in poor condition. Mattress pad was obviously unwashed. Breakfast is NOT free. $10 per person for muffins, cereal and toast…I think not Hot buffet was $19 per person. This hotel spacious. Our rate wasn’t bad but we overheard several people in the lobby complaining about their rate.

I had a wonderful experience while staying at this hotel. Very convenient to everything, Tanger Outlet, Walmart, restaurants, interstate. Everything you need is less than five (5) minutes away. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. Everything we needed was there.
