Skipper Ben's - Harbour Grace

We have booked two rooms at skippers because we knew it would be a simple trip to the airport if we left and because we could have dinner and breakfast. viola met us, a nice and attentive host, and shortly after we met clive, very gracious, who gave us some great tips. we were all a little tired of 2 weeks of the trip so that in the location, the stairs down to the restaurant was ideal. the server was warm and attentive. the 3-course menu had a delicious salad, extremely generous portions well cooked and well presented food and dessert. good as dinner was, the breakfast was even better - and came with a granola bar for on the street. a lot of fresh fruit, yogurt, picked egg, speck, orange juice and reiskise with strawberries and very good coffee. our rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. Yes, we shared a bathroom, but there was no waiting time.

My man and I loved our three-course dinner at skipper Ben’s, followed by homemade coconut cream pea and blueberry crepes. the ambiente was relaxed and cozy and the sea was right in front of our window. our celebration was made so special by the owners viola. and clyde and our server dorothy who could not do enough for us. we will never forget the friendliness that is shown to us and the excellent meal. a little jewel of an orte.

We had an excellent dinner last night. there were five in our party and everyone enjoyed their meals. the service was fast and friendly.

We stopped in for lunch before a Perchance theatre show, and it was excellent. Very good service and lovely food. My kids loved their fish and chips, and my husband and I had fish cakes. These were the best fish cakes I’ve ever had. Light...and fluffy inside, crispy outside.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Pan Fried Cod, it was excellent! If you are within a 30-minute drive, it is definitely worth making the short trip. Make sure to make a reservation in advance!
