Opa's Schnitzel Hut - Harker Heights

I had another wonderful experience at this restaurant. The meal was very authentic and delicious, and the service was top-notch. I left feeling happy and satisfied, making it my favorite place to eat after hiking on Dana Peak. A tip for the food: try the schnitzel, which comes with two sides and is big enough for two people if you add extra sides.

That's the best German food I've had for a long time, better than fredericksburg! this gem is located in harker heights texas and is delicious! the journey worth it. we wandered along the dana peak park along the lake and saw the yellow building with the carving hut of opa and had to check it naturally. the friendly waitress explained that the owner makes everything from scratch from the plough of the meat to their own broth crumbs for the carving bread. the gravure, the cauliflower, the late zle and more of the ground up. that makes the difference. I can't expect to go back and have a good homemade. the only thing missing was a big glass of German beer. B.Y.O.B $1.00 per person). they even had a nice story on the back of the menu, as the owner began. best day ever! migrate with my 82-year-old mother 6 miles and enjoy an authentic German meal. I know because my mother is German and she knows her German eating smile.

Everything was delicious. her cooking is absolutely amazing, it was like being in Germany. the location is so clean and cozy! we will definitely go back. this place a must go to place, added to their list!

Amazing! I felt like at my grandmother's house! if it is always warm, cozy and tasty! This warm and family atmosphere fascinated us! we come back in any case and bring our parents to lunch to this beautiful place! we ate outside and it was so cozy, in this wonderful not hot weather!

We loved a Schnitzel with Mushroom gravy, home-fries, home-made sausage, cucumber salad, and sauerkraut, bread, coffee, mandarin tart, and cheesecake. We liked everything about this place: friendly and attentive service, great food, price, with its family history and preserved tradition. A cozy dining room of four tables, with an outdoor seating area, and take-out option. Our dining experience was delightfully pleasant in every way. A true authentic home cooked German food. So yummy.
