A friend recommended onion jacks for the Kent county mule beer he said it was the best. So my wife and I went for lunch. We ordered the crab dip, jack burgers and Kent county mule draft beer. Service was great burgers are delicious and crab dip was awesome and the beer excellent. This is the kind of restaurant we need in Denton not Taco Bell We will go back again soon. Sounds like the other people that wrote a review lost money

It was ok................................*changes mind* I probably wouldn't eat in here again. The food was if anything- average. Over cooked onion rings and soggy bread left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). And on top of that, The Waitress we had today kind of sucked because she seems unapproachable and simply unlikable in a restaurant setting. I recommend not eating in here... order to go instead!

Delicious cheesesteak and fries. Service was a bit slow at times but that's to be expected as they were super busy all at once. Our server was sweet and the woman who checked us out at the front desk was very pleasant. Great food, just bring some patience and enjoy the meal!

First time eating here, and here's how I review restaurants: if the quality of the food is something you can cook at home and cook BETTER, then the review will not be kind. This is the case for Onion Jack's. The atmosphere/decor is lacking. Plating of the food was terrible, and the plates themselves were black plastic, which does not give a good visual impression of the food on the plate. I first ordered the Thai shrimp appetizer, and they really need to rename it, because there's nothing Thai about it. It has old bay seasoning and honey on it. Sounds weird because it is, but it wasn't that it tasted bad, it was okay, but seriously named wrong. I ordered the steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. I asked the waitress if the green beans were fresh and grilled and she said yes, but they came out on the plate and we're clearly from a can! Mushy and tasteless, and DEFINITELY not grilled. The steak was cooked well, but there was a serious lack of seasoning or rub and it was very chewy and not tender. The best thing on the plate were the mashed potatoes but that's not saying much because they did not have much flavor until I put a decent amount of butter on them. I won't be coming back to Onion Jack's.

Thai shrimp is spicy and bbq flavored. Tasty. 6 shrimp. Chowder is spicy but not too hot. Interesting flavors. Truffle chips are potato chips... not too special, but tasty. The drink specials are all very sweet. The breakfasts are great. Also enjoyed the burgers.
