River City Blues Club Dart Room

I'm performing here tonight with TJP, and I absolutely love this place. They have amazing music playing that really sets the vibe. The sound system is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful! The food is also excellent! Overall, it's a great experience!

This is a lovely restaurant featuring live music on the lower level, while the upper level offers pool tables, darts, and classic pinball machines. The staff is exceptionally friendly. For dinner, I had the southwest wrap, which was delicious and had a nice kick from the corn salsa, complemented by the coolness of the avocado ranch dressing. I also brought home the po monster, a delicious southern-style sandwich with a Cajun twist. The beer selection is impressive, and I'm thrilled they have Rolling Rock on tap as well.

River City is undoubtedly the best spot in Harrisburg. I refer to it as my second home, as I've quickly become a regular there. I particularly enjoy going to karaoke with my friends nearly every Thursday night. In my opinion, the sound system is fantastic. The service is consistently fast and efficient, and the food is delicious while the drinks are nicely chilled. A huge shoutout to the amazing bartender Tracie and the coolest manager, Tessa! You both are incredible!

Great hangout. Love Thursday nights and love the pool table. Would be dope if y'all had a pool table or a couple dart boards downstairs too.

The blues club features a spacious stage that can accommodate a seven-piece band (or up to 8-9 with horns), complete with a permanent side stage equipped with a 32-channel soundboard and plenty of microphone stands and monitors. The seating is both comfortable and sufficient, and the lighting—both on and off stage—creates the perfect atmosphere for blues and jazz. The cafe offers a wealth of seating and tables, making it easy to navigate, plus fantastic views of the neighborhood through the large windows. The chalkboard adds a charming touch. Music and videos from the blues club provide entertainment even if you're just taking a break from playing darts or stopping by for a burger. The dart room is truly impressive—players have started to claim it as their new 'home.' During tournaments, it feels like a hybrid between a sports arena and a casino: bright, vibrant, fun, and bustling! The green room is spacious and relaxing, boasting a lovely view of the surrounding neighborhood and easy access to the back entrance and side stage. The drink selection includes twelve beers on tap, a variety of bottled options, an extensive whiskey menu, and skilled bartenders. As for the food, it’s classic bar fare done right. The menu is straightforward without being overly simplistic. During my visit, the special was steak, but the burgers, wings, and hush puppies seemed to be the crowd favorites. Parking was relatively easy even on opening night, with a few spots available in the main lot, although the overflow area and nearby car dealership appeared full. There's also a large shared parking lot across the street past the gentlemen's club, providing ample space for hundreds of vehicles. In summary, when a big-name act and a dart tournament occur simultaneously, this venue buzzes with life throughout the night. The crowd is diverse, friendly, and fun, echoing the spirit of the establishment. There’s something for everyone, whether you're in your twenties or enjoying retirement. A variety of blues, jazz, and other genres are scheduled to perform, plus the dart scene has found a new home. This is one of the most exciting venues I've experienced in the entertainment world. And yes, the gentlemen's club is conveniently across the street. Having been to and worked at numerous clubs across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, I can confidently say this is the most unique location with a dedicated music venue I've encountered. I would rank it alongside The Metro in Chicago, Big Al's Gilligan's Jazz Club trio in Peoria, or The BOB in Grand Rapids. If you love music, you need to visit; if you're a musician, add this venue to your tour; and if you play darts, you'll want to get acquainted with what might become your championship tournament location.
