Satterfield's Old Fashioned Grocery

Hubby and I Drove 35 mins to try an out of the way Mom and Pop place cause we love to do that and like to support them,this was definitely a waste of time and money,We both got the Chicken Alfredo with garlic toast, Wednesday special, As you can tell from picture, it was dry, hard and tasted as if it was warmed up in a microwave from a few days ago,I didn’t eat but a few bite of what noodles I could eat from being so hard and the 1 piece of garlic bread we got, It was not worth what we paid, but we paid for it anyways cause I know ya have to pay ya bills..Sorry but we won’t be coming back..

I have tried for a couple years to order food from this establishment, many times. They have never had exactly what I wanted on the menu, not once. They also claim to deliver, but I live in the same town and the few times I've asked for delivery, I promptly get a call back saying they can't deliver. They just don't want to.. I really don't know the deal here, but after so many attempts, I have wadded up the menu and thrown it away. I'll go the extra miles for some consistency

I used to like going there. After a change up in workers the buffet isnt as good and when I ordered the pulled pork sandwich there was barely any meat on it therefore not worth the price. Now I'm looking elsewhere for my small business shopping needs.

Not exactly sure what 's going on here. Normally I would give 5 stars up until this past weekend. Food has always been amazing and service was always wonderful as well as atmosphere! Unfortunately the breakfast buffet that is always advertised from 0800 to noon was EXTREMELY disappointing! We had our hearts set on that small town country restaurant and delicious home cooked food with great service that we 've always gotten at any time from Amber or Laura. There really wasn 't a buffet to even choose from and it definitely wasn 't right before noon. The majority of the so called buffet was empty (like nothing was ever even in the containers) I recall seeing a handful of sausage patties, what I think may have been scrambled eggs (couldn 't really tell) and a handful of quarter size pancakes.... no fruit or anything either....THAT 'S IT!For $10 a person? There wasn 't enough there for any family to choose from nor would it have been worth $10 a pop! I did notice faces I 'd never seen working...maybe that 's the difference but what a disappointment. ? Hopefully Satterfields gets things back on track....maybe it was just a bad day I 'm not sure. If we decide to try again at a later date hopefully I can write a better review. I understand training new employees. We actually met Amber and Laura visiting previously at your place before, as well as a couple other girls at times. Anytime we went it seemed they were always there. I hate to hear they are no longer there. That 's got to be a tough loss, They were fantastic! You have a beautiful cozy place. I love the older mom and pop style stores and restaurants! Those places are always my favorite! It truly is a hidden gem. I wish the best for your new employees as well as Satterfields as a whole! Maybe in time we can come back and have more great experiences at Satterfields! I 'll have to look into where the others went too. Hopefully it will be another amazing place as well!

Freshly cooked food, cheapest gas, great dining area, and wonderful people!!!!
