Harrison Tavern

With the Craftsman now closed, this is the only bar in Harrison that's truly worth the drive. They have a solid selection of beers and a decent atmosphere, along with a few TVs for catching the game.

I visited this restaurant tonight, and I was absolutely blown away! It’s rare for me to be this impressed by a dining experience, but this place is far from your typical tavern. The prices are excellent, the service is top-notch, and the food is outstanding. You must try the pork wings with the dry rub—no sauce needed! They crack open beautifully, super crispy and incredibly fresh. The Tavern Burger was cooked to perfection, juicy, and topped with crispy bacon and melted cheddar. The Balboa was also seasoned just right, featuring homemade brat beef and fresh cheese. And if that wasn’t enough, I indulged in a warm chocolate chip cookie baked in a skillet; it was heavenly! If that doesn’t make your mouth water, I don’t know what will. This place is fresh—not greasy at all—and I didn’t feel sluggish afterward. Just go!

What a fantastic new local discovery with great food and a wide selection of draft beers! Harrison Tavern has just opened in the spot where Halstead's bar and barbecue used to be, so my husband and I decided to check it out on Saturday afternoon. We started with the Arugula and Watermelon Salad, which was perfect for a summer day by the open window. I ordered a cheeseburger while he opted for the ****. Both were juicy, delicious, and beautifully seasoned. The draft beer selection is impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the Scotch and Bourbon options. We’ll definitely be back to try the wings, sliders, and the Balboa (they also offer a Turkey Balboa), all of which looked amazing!

Delicious burgers. Free chips with your food / drink. Great bar and a killer trivia night.

A very good place to eat and have cocktails. The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable.
