Jako Sushi - Harrisonburg

I had a confusing experience at this restaurant. After a certain hour, they only serve sushi and no hot dishes. The wait staff seemed unsure about what was happening. Even with just five tables occupied on a Saturday evening, we were informed that there were many customers, which would delay our food. The sushi was enjoyable, but the chicken fried rice was just average—about a 5 out of 10. The interior is cozy with soft lighting, and it doesn't feel overly crowded with tables. Overall, we dined in.

For the past few years, this has been our go-to spot for sushi each week. Sushi Jako offers the freshest and best sushi in Harrisonburg. I had a lovely evening dining at this restaurant. We sampled a variety of dishes, including winter rolls, tempura rolls, eel, and salmon skin rolls. We also tried the omelette and octopus sashimi, along with chicken katsu, miso soup, and a peanut ginger salad as appetizers. Everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I'm glad we ordered the soup, salad, and chicken, as it took a bit of time for the sushi to arrive. The staff was friendly, and the chef was impressive. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.
