Smokin'q - Harrisonburg

I stumbled across a food truck in Mt. Jackson and I was truly impressed by the Carolina pork BBQ and brisket. The brisket was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth, while the pork was equally succulent and flavorful. It was quite filling, too! The sides were also delightful. Overall, I’d rate it a perfect 10/10. Food: 5/5.

I visited this restaurant once before and had no issues, but today, June 29, 2023, at 1:28 PM, it was a completely different experience. I ordered four ribs, a brisket sandwich, and a smoked leg quarter. The ribs were undercooked and lacked flavor, and they had an unpleasant smell reminiscent of old meat. I requested no BBQ sauce on the chicken, but it arrived with it anyway. The brisket was also undercooked and tasteless. Unfortunately, everything ended up in the trash. I wasted $29.00—please improve your quality!

The brisket sandwich was fantastic, and my fiancé really enjoyed the chicken and baked beans. If you get a chance, definitely stop by Smoking’Q—you won't regret it! Food: 5/5

The brisket is quite good, but the barbecue is outstanding—it's the best vinegar-based barbecue I've ever tasted.
