Dower House - Harrogate

So I was really surprised. we booked well in advance, but had a selection of tables in a beautiful modern dining room. men of yorkshire, what are you doing? really beautiful Sunday roast tariff at a good price with good veg, humongous yorkshire puddings and. a reasonable weeping list. the service was a bit dirty, but the food was good enough not to argue.

Breakfast and dinner were a good choice and very tasty. portions were a good size and all our party commented on how delicious the food was.

My man and I had a nice meal last night while we stayed in the dower house. garlic mushrooms we are delicious and my sea bass was amazing that saucew! husband loved his pate and his bun and chorizo burger. and the desserts were beautiful, red. including brownie and lemon. whole meal was about £33 to help with eating. that was a great surprise. If I could offer a advice, it might be better to dim the lights and maybe to put them on the tables. it would create a beautiful atmosphere in such a beautiful space.

As a former resident of knaresborough we have selected this hotel based on an assumption that it would be a good standard. wrong. well, I agree with all comments about tired rooms. I'm ashamed of myself this day and age, but they think they can get away with him. the main complaints concern noise. windows do nothing to soften the tireless noise of traffic all night. as many mentioned, it is an old building. paper-thin walls and folding floor plates also complement the noise level. the worst asspect of the room 11 was, however, that he is above the dining room. From 3:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. I was kept awake by the workers about their tasks in what like job nail boots on a laminate floor and slurries doors etc. at 5 a.m. I got the bed to find out what was going on. I have reliant on the noise that keeps me awake and it is unacceptable. he was clearly regretted and agreed “there was a problem”. in my view is the problem that the staff works in the middle of the night and makes a hit. because the management told them. this morning I'm tired, angry and unnecessary to say I won't be back. not good enough.

Excellent food, wine and service. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Good food with a great choice. Possibly could do with more vegetarian options.
