The food is of poor quality. The place is old and dirty. Toilet are poor. It needs a total overhaul and redesign in my opinion. There are far better pubs in the area. The only reason the place is still running is because the beer is cheap, if the taps are working.
Another awful afternoon at this pub. Staff really nice (Nikki , Jade and Shareen) although there doesn't seem to be any leadership since Eric left. Usual loud mouthed fat idiot mouthing off (I know who he is), should be barred for life. Apart from that everything pretty much the same as normal.
We don't visit Rayner's Lane very often but we have lived in around this area not for many decades , though Now that the dominant pub for many year's has gone , at least in it's incarnation as a pub although the building survives , if you want a drink around here you have a few bars to choose from or The Village Inn. A Wetherspoons is , well , a Wetherspoons although most try to reflect something of the area or history on which they stand, This one is reasonably large with the floorspace on 2 levels. Coming in off the street you have a large , pretty much Square seating area with an L shaped bar creating a narrower area to one side of it as you pass through to a lower level containing a long , narrow seating area. There is a welcome bonus of a pleasant garden to the rear. The walls are hung with old photos of the local area. Usual fruit machines scattered about. One of the things I really like about Wetherspoon's is that they are always nice warm inside something that cannot be said about many pubs. None of this rubbish about pinning the doors open who wants to drink cold lager in a chilly breeze? Service was prompt , tables clean , drinks in good order the toilets were modern clean. Enjoyed our visit will certainly visit again.
Asked for a pint of Guinness and a worker came out a women and she dropped aload of the pint before i got it and when i got it it was dripping all over the sides and when i question her her reply was you ordered in the beer garden so this is what you get, do you want the pint or not and i asked for the manager and she told me she was the manager. i own the place apparently. Customer service in this place is brutal. 14.06.21 16:56
The fact that it's very close to the station is a major plus otherwise it's a wetherspoons so we get what we pay for, the onion rings which I applaud spoons for were gewat, the drinks were good for what they were just gin s and the staff were actually quite nice and friendly
