What a wonderful restaurant! Delicious food and the best hospitality we’ve experienced in a while. It really felt like being back in Italy. The atmosphere was great and every table in the restaurant was full, but this didn’t impact the service level at all. Make sure you book as it’s clearly very popular! Thank you Mama Mia for a fabulous birthday meal. We will be back!

I highly recommend this charming Italian restaurant in a quaint village. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the pizza was especially good. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Don't want to critise too much as 3 out of 4 of us enjoyed the meal, hence why I have given a 3 marking. Personally though I was very disappointed. The meal was for my 50th birthday (although the restaurant did not know that). I was looking forward to a really good pizza to be told the pizza chef was not in so no pizza that Saturday night. OK it happens but it should have been mentioned when they phoned that morning to confirm the booking. Being vegetarian that left me with 2 options. One I didn't fancy so had pasta with mushrooms, cherry tomato's and olive oil. Pretty tasteless and the oil tasted like it had been used previously to fry seafood. The restaurant has a good reputation but it's not somewhere I would go back to.

I live just a 2-minute walk away and I have to say that it's a privilege because this restaurant is truly the best. Paulo, his wife, and their team do an excellent job from the moment you step through the door. The restaurant has a classy atmosphere, with polite staff, delicious food, and a very warm welcome. I can't wait to go back. Thank you all so much for a lovely evening. I went with a close friend and ended up meeting another local friend celebrating his anniversary. It turned into a fantastic evening with drinks at the bar.

Can only think that making an early booking was a mistake. Friendly welcome but not a smile, in fact not a word from the waiting staff. Service was fast, which initially seemed fine. Unfortunately this extended to the clearing of plates, while some were still eating their meal. In fact, for one diner, the last mouthful was being eaten as the plate was removed. Felt rushed and even left half an hour before we needed to. Considering this is not a ‘cheap eatery’ I did expect, as standard, some finger bowls or wipes for those eating butterflied prawns and mussels. Only one male toilet, first time I had watched a queue for the Gents while eating my meal! Having said that the restaurant itself is bright and clean with nice white table linen. The avocado/crab starter is to be recommended as are the prawns in garlic, though messy to eat. (Hand wipes!? Maybe I’ll try again one day, as intrigued by all the 5*’s
