Shug's Smokehouse - Hartsville

This is one of our favorites. We drive an hour to get there. Great sushi and a filet mignon that melts in your mouth. Top notch service. Our glass is kept full. Waitress always gets a great tip. Only draw back is... you can't have a large partybecause of the way its set up. I would give them 10 stars if we're an option. ????????????????????????????????????????

Beef tips and NY strip steak we ordered. The NY strip was ordered medium but a little on the undone side for me. My husband and I swapped beef instead of sending it back. We ate at the bar. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

We?ve been wanting to dine at Shug?s for some time after receiving very positive feedback from friends in the area. Our wait on a Saturday night was about 20 minutes, but we know it can be much longer depending on the date/time. Our drinks and honeybutter croissant appetizers arrived very quickly. The croissants were awesome! Our daughter?s sushi arrive next and was alsogood. The only complaint for the evening was that our waitress seemed to disappear for 30 to 45 minutes before bringing out ourmain course. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing!! Our daughter ordered the lava cake for dessert,which was also very good. We really like Shug?s and will definitely be back!

This is one of the best steakhouses in the area. The Shrimp and Grits is amazing, but I recommend getting it grilled. The venue itself is also very well put together for a nice atmosphere.

Dined here while visiting family in Bishopville. Every time we pass it, they are packed. We had to park in the grass across the road. (this is typical We choose to sit at the bar (NO WAIT: . Food was delicious, service was friendly and fast. Good conversations with neighboring patrons. Wish I took pictures.
