Hotel Wetterhorn - Hasliberg Goldern

I stopped at the Restaurant Wetterhorn on a motor bike tour. The Restaurant has a nice terasse with a great view to the mountains. The lunch menu was tasty.

If you like sustainability and eat local food, high quality swiss mountain food, then this seems a good place.

Down to earth kitchen with genuine local food brought to new heights. A must if you are in the area.

Only one menue, but a wonderful experience for lunch and dinner. The farmer breakfast is also great and a perfect start in the day up in the mountains.

This is more than just a meal, this is an experience. We began in the lower bar area outdoors and enjoyed the view whilst sipping on our drinks and enjoying an apero of bread, meat, and cheese. We wandered up the path lined with herbs, berries, vegetables, and flowers that the establishment grows and uses in their dishes. Dinner was a fantastic four course meal that changes daily, but is always made from local ingredients - ours was a carrot soup, a salad loaded with fresh vegetables, a main course of veal, noodles, and broccoli, and a sorbet dessert. You are served family style with platters or bowls in the center of the table and are more than welcome to ask for seconds if you like. Our two-year-old ate three bowls of carrot soup. Every single taste was fantastic and the gorgeous view of the sun setting over the mountains doesn't hurt. Service was wonderful. The fantastic chef brought around small tastes of a new dish for the diners to try. They even have a special treasure hunt for children on the hotel/restaurant grounds. It is about 60 chf/person for four courses and an bread and cheese plate which is a decent price in Switzerland, especially considering the amount of food that you receive, but I know it still seems pricey. It's worth it, though. Give it a shot. This will be a special dining experience that you will always remember. I would recommend making a reservation if you would like a table on the beautiful patio. You wouldn't want to miss the view.
