American Legion Post 47 - Hastings

Well the river overlook for breakfast so far is phenomenal!

Went for Sunday morning breakfast. Got there at 11. Had to wait 15 mins after being sat for any of the staff to even acknowledge us. People who came in after us were getting served. Then when the server finally got to our table, they couldn 't give us menus because they were changing from breakfast to lunch, but lunch didn 't even start until 11:30. They expect people to wait a half hour before even giving menus out to look at. Completely disappointed in the service and the attitude from the wait staff. We had been looking forward to sitting on the patio and eating there. Ended up walking out, doubtful we will go back.

We have been here many times. Unfortunately has really gone down hill. The onion rings used to be fabulous now just out of the box. My husband sent his patty melt back . It was like a hockey puck. This isn't just 1 time.

So I have a hard time posting 1 star for an Legion Post, but service is terrible. The scenery on the river is great, but we sat outside and waited 15 minutes on a day that wasn't busy. Not 1 server stopped to say hi or that they'd be right with us. The tables in front, the back, and the side all were getting served. Not once did a server say anything to us. I can't rate the food because we left. Disappointing to say the least

I’ve lived in Hastings for 3 years now and have made it home. Been to this place 4 times with family. All 4 of my kids felt uncomfortable along with EVERYONE in my family. For sure not somewhere to go for people of color. People like to watch you eat your meal and point and stare. Do NOT Recommend.
