Special on the board 'Seared Local Scallops'. We ordered the scallops. There was a serving of 4 or 8. We asked for 8 The Scallops were delishes, the size of them was very disappointing. They weren't much bigger than a pea. Should we return I think we might stick to a more substantial meal of scones and cream.
Cakes here are to die for. Love their fries too, simple though they are, always crispy and yum...great coffee too.
Met up with friends here for an early lunch before the crowds came in. The staff were very attentive trying to get us to order before we were ready to do so, which I did find a little off putting. The food I did order was good winter fare, a mushroom vol au vent which was delicious. Our food came out in a timely manner and the other burger orders were delicious as well.
Situated within Tyabb Packing House Antiques, which is AMAZING!, a fabulous way to rest and replenish your reserves before continuing the hunt for the perfect item. Great tea, small menu but delicious! I had the beef burger and perfect!
This is one of the many cafe in Tyabb but it's the best one the food is great and the coffee is good. I suggest you get the scones are amazing with there home made jam made in the cafe it self. The staff are so nice. If you have time I suggest you save 1/2 a day so you can walk through the antique shoes after. It really is the heart of Tyabb.
