Mains The Greek pie was nice and my partner would happily order this again, The Korean chicken burger was delicious, the chicken was battered in what seemed like fish batter but in this application was really really nice, the Korean element came from the sauce which seemed to be a Gochujang based sauce and added a lot of flavour. Really lovely little pub and the staff really did make the environment in the pub a welcoming and warm place to be. Thank you for looking after us.
Absolutely love their Ruby Tuesday- curry selection is extensive. We had the fish Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan and it was superb. Fantastic flavours, melt in the mouth cod and light and fluffy rice. Papadums were lovely too- no oil dripping of them Also really good value
What a lovely place, fab atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food was outstanding make sure your hungry as very big portions
The Old Town of Hastings has many interesting eateries, but we were in the mood for a classic Sunday lunch. We walked into the Hastings Arms on spec. It immediately felt like a proper pub, albeit with quirky decoration. We were tempted by the selection of pies on offer and went for those instead of a roast. My steak and Stilton pie was absolutely delicious a proper pie, rather than just a beef stew with a top! Delicious large meltingly soft pieces of beef in a rich sauce and with a delightful crust. Served with creamy mash, vegetables and plenty of gravy. One of the best pies I’ve ever had! Likewise, my girlfriend’s steak and kidney pudding was generously filled and reportedly delicious. Price wise it was great value, especially considering the high quality of the food. We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
We 'd booked for a birthday celebration of 17 people. Table provided for 15 and when we asked the guy at the bar, he said he would get us 2 more chairs. When we said we wouldn 't fit around an already snug setting, he said well you 'll have to . The lady then came over and started to count us incorrectly and when we said we can count and 2 people were without seats she got rather stroppy. We decided to leave due to the ignorance and attitude. Mistakes happen and it could have been easily rectified by them but they decided to handle it this way instead. They then proceeded to shout after us as we left, Thanks guys! In a very sarcastic way. Shocking hospitality which meant they missed out on a nearly £1k bill which a very hospitable restaurant gained instead. Shame as I 've been here a lot but this visit wasn 't really unpleasant
