Great service and very nice people work in this restaurant. The food is good and the cocktails were good. When I return to Havana, I will go back to this place.
One of the best culinary experiences I had in a restaurant in Cuba. The calendar also had the best service. The first thing the waiter told us after he greeted us, and before he took our order, is that they had no lobster on that day. He seemed really sad and embarrassed to a degree. We started serving jamón serrano and tostones rellenos de queso y jamón. The Jamón serrano was dressed with capers. Jamón serrano, as I have learned, is easily available in Cuba. My only complaint is that ham is not cut as thin as it is served in Spain. This is true in all places I tasted jamón serrano un Cuba. Flavor was good. The Tostones Rellenos were great. We had filled them with cheese and ham. They were much better than the Tostone Rellenos we had in other restaurants. The masas de cerdo We are very good and were garnished with onions. We were also presented to the Canchanchara cocktail; a concoction of rum, lime, honey and ice. I prefer the Mojito. Service was wonderful. The waiter checked us several times. They even had a trio playing Cuban music. It is a beautiful establishment that is worth a stop for a good meal.
We found this place by recommendation and it was excellent. The food was delicious and cheap. You also have great cocktails. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
What a gem! Exceptional service, wonderful cocktails, and some of the best food that I had during my week in Cuba. I ordered the ropa vieja for my main course and was surprised at the enormous portion that was brought to me along with a bowl of moors rice for the table to share. Trust me, you want to eat here!!
