Coastguard Cafe - Havant

The experience was average. I believe I was charged too much, but since I didn't receive a receipt, I couldn't address the issue. I have no plans to go back.

Whenever we visit Hayling Island for a day out, we always make a stop at the Coast Guard, which is just an hour's drive away from us. Unfortunately, our experience yesterday was not as great as usual. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a very unfriendly waitress with no customer service skills. The atmosphere was lacking as well. While the cod and chips we ordered were flavorful, the batter on the fish was minimal and the chips were undercooked. Overall, the negative experience with the waitress has made us decide not to return to the Coast Guard in the future. It seems like things have changed for the worse.

The food at this restaurant was excellent, but the staff were very rude and lacked basic manners. There was no politeness in their service, no "please" or "thank you" used, and they seemed completely ignorant at the till. I would suggest that some training is needed for the staff to improve their customer service skills.

Just had a lovely bit of Cod from the Coast Guard fish and chip shop the fish was nice and flaky, coated in a delicious light but ever so crunchy batter

First visit to this place scampi soggy obviously reheated chips soggy cod soggy nothing was freshly cooked will never return
