Spice Grill - Havering

The MadDogs don't usually order takeout from Indian restaurants, but Baby MadDogs Texan boyfriend wanted to get some. Even better, he offered to pay for it. Yee Haw! Despite hearing some complaints about delivery times, we decided to give it a try and placed our order. We ordered for five people, including five main dishes, four rices, four sides, four breads, and got some poppadoms and sauces for free. We received a discount for our large order, bringing the total to a reasonable £50. We ordered Tikka Jalfrezis, a Biryani, a Tikka Masalla for Baby MadDog, and I went all out and ordered a Chicken Flamingo. Despite the disappointment of not finding actual Flamingo in my dish, we all enjoyed the food. The portions were generous and we had enough leftovers for three more meals. The food was great value and we believe a Spice Grill Restaurant in Rainham would set a high standard for other Asian restaurants to compete with. Two points we would like to highlight: the Chicken Tikka Masalla was not bright pink and had a rich flavor compared to others in the area, and the Sag Paneer was a standout dish with well-flavored spinach and chunky pieces of Paneer cheese. Overall, we were very satisfied with our takeout experience and didn't encounter any waiting issues. We look forward to trying the Chicken Moonlight next time for a bit more spice. MadDog says it was a proper Ruby that deserves five stars!

The food was absolutely delicious and served hot! Although delivery took a little longer than anticipated, the wait was worth it. The prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again.

I placed an online order and received a text saying that orders could only be taken over the phone. When I called to place my order, I was quoted a higher price and the restaurant refused to match their online price. As a regular customer, I am disappointed and will not be returning.

So impressed. Great flavours, excellent quality chicken breast used in the curry, delish Bombay potatoes, and friendly staff. The driver delivered well before the given time, LOVED it.
