Poppi Red - Hawkshead

We attempted to go in one autumn afternoon for drinks and potentially for dinner to be told that you can 't come in until after 5 but you can sit outside for coffee and cake . Not at all welcoming, we went elsewhere. Just a weird experience.

Firstly I would like to comment on the behaviour on the service ! My wife Trisha was approached with vulgar language by someone who is currently working there called max , he was rude and impatient to her . I would come to Popeye red again but I do not feel so safe around him as I did feel quite offended on his comments he made on my physical appearance which I will leave my wife to discuss! It’s a no for me ! Never coming here again ! Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Excellent friendly service. We had a delightful mushroom and garlic soup with foccacia and butter with a pot of tea. Highly recommended! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
