Membership is super cheap and gives drink discounts. The Bistro is popular with families and offers casual inside and outside eating. The immediate access to the football oval gives plenty of space for children to exercise the meal off with parents having full visual supervision. Menu choice is a casual but good enough. The wait time can get long on Friday nights, so get there and book early is a great tip.
Went with my gf as I received a flyer / menu in my post box. As it's down the street, we decided to give it a shot.i always wondered what it would be like.Wow! We ordered the mesquite wings, bacon cheese burger and mac /cheese
If you live locally or even a bit further away, this is a great choice if you want quality food and friendly helpfull staff. Based at the footy ground it takes dining at the local Footy Ground to the next level, well done. Food is of very high quality. The best compliment my wife and I could give to "The Boundary Line", is that we will return
I was a fan of Grumpys Steakhouse at the Panthers Morningside, so was a little nervous to discover that it had changed hands, and that the Boundary Line was the 'new' Bistro. Even more nervous that we were the only people eating in the restaurant. The word 'bistro', especially for Club dinning, does tend to induce nervous reactions. But we thought it worth a punt, even though we had no trip advisor guidance on the restaurant. The menu did not give any clue as to what was in store, looking fairly convention - steaks, burgers and other bistro type dishes, with a range of entrees, dips etc. We were pleasantly surprise when the dips arrived - presently beautifully with warmed flat breads and dips to die for. Our confidence started to build. And the mains were simply outstanding - as we later discovered from the chef (who came to check we enjoyed our meals) - the steaks were from tassie, and presented with wonderful sauces (diane and cafe de paris), and cooked to perfection. My teenage boys burgers were outstanding, all served with fries cooked to perfection. A perfect steak, with frites and a nice red. By any measure, the definition of perfection. A desert was ordered- banoffee sundae - which was hoovered up by the family in seconds. As we learned from Siri, the BL's owner chef, Rhett, was a participant in Masterchef Professional and has worked in some of the best restaurants in town. This is his first venture on his own, and by this first experience, I would say he is hitting sixes!
I visited this restaurant with friends in the trendy West End. We enjoyed live music on a Sunday afternoon, relaxing with boutique beer, craft beer, and cider.
