We enjoyed a tasty roast pork dinner with potatoes, beets, homemade carrots, and a generous serving of gravy. My friend ordered the delicious teriyaki chicken stir fry. The service was quick and our server was polite and friendly. It was a delightful meal. We make sure to visit this restaurant a few times every year when we are in the area. It is always consistent and we know we can expect a good meal.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Dovetails21. The service was top-notch, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Service friendly, but very slow. Food Poor. No towels or hand dryer. The French pommes with the burgers must have been recovered as a fork would not penetrate them. Gravy serves as Dr. Ballard delivered in a bulk container. Was...only warm with cool lumps in it unedible! Even ketchup container was empty! Too expensive. Will not return to this place!

First, there were three of us at our party and we were seated promptly. However, it took about 15 minutes for us to be able to place our order (despite the restaurant not being busy with many empty tables), and another ten minutes after ordering for our drinks to arrive. After what felt like a long wait, our food finally arrived. I had ordered the meatloaf, but when it was placed in front of me, it looked unappetizing - thin, dark, and dry. I informed the waitress that I couldn't eat it, and she offered to bring me something else. Since my companions had already received their meals, I asked for something quick and settled on a turkey dinner. Unfortunately, the turkey meal was also disappointing - overcooked turkey, bland stuffing, and canned cranberry sauce. I couldn't finish it and was surprised to receive a bill for $16.00 without any offer of dessert or coffee. My friend paid the bill to avoid causing a scene, but I couldn't resist asking the waitress why she would serve a subpar meal. She explained that if she didn't serve it, nobody would get their meals.

We are on holiday on the east coast and were looking for a place to have a nice home cooked meal. We noticed this little restaurant and decided to pop in and see what they offered. We were greeted with great enthusiasm and respect. It...was 8:30 at night and they closed at 9 pm. But the great thing was that they had no problem serving us. We said we would go somewhere else, but they would have none of it. They sat us at a table and twisted our arms into having their roast beef dinners. OMG!!!!! The plates that came out were massive and steaming hot. Huge slices of real roast beef smothered in a delicious gravy, three scoops of mashed potatoes, fresh carrot rounds, peas and even mashed turnip!!! Oh and cole slaw. They didn’t rush us at all and kept checking to make sure we were happy with the food. We didn’t think we would be able to finish the food but two clean plates went back to the kitchen. It was beyond expectations and absolutely delicious. So much so, that we purposely drove 1 1/2 hours, the next day to eat there again. This time we were earlier and were treated just as great. This time we had liver and onions and a mozzarella burger with fries. Again plates were clean except for a few fries. If you want a great place for even greater food then go to Callisters in Coldbrook, Nova Scotia. Thanks to everyone there for the great service. We shall definitely return again and this time will take pictures of the plates.
