Local's Tacos And Tequila- Haymarket

I rarely give such low reviews, but if I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. The food and cocktails were decent, with the tacos being the standout at a 3 out of 5 stars. However, the side dishes were bland. The mixed drinks were tasty but overpriced. The biggest downfall of this restaurant is the lackadaisical and poor attitudes of the staff. I have experienced bad service before, but this place exceeded my expectations. They consistently got our orders wrong, showed impatience when we took our time ordering, and failed to refill our water despite watching them attend to larger groups. While this establishment may have potential as a casual bar for friends to gather, I doubt I will ever return due to the subpar service.

Based on the reviews, the restaurant seems to be hit or miss. Unfortunately, our experience was a big miss. The service was terrible and the staff seemed disinterested, leading to slow service and missing items. The meat on the tacos was tough and chewy, lacking flavor and overcooked. The drinks were overpriced for their quality. The indoor/outdoor atmosphere was a nice concept, but the inside was uncomfortably humid. Overall, we won't be returning as there are many other better options available.

During this visit, we tried the flautas (pictured), breakfast tacos (no photo because I was too eager to eat), a Berry Thyme margarita (pictured), and one made with matcha. Both margaritas were delightful, but the matcha one was particularly unique. I actually preferred it over the berry mix - it was so different yet delicious. The flautas, although an appetizer, were larger than expected and had delicious beef filling with crispy edges. The breakfast tacos were supposed to have scrambled eggs according to the menu, but instead came with a fried egg. While the fried egg worked well on the tortilla, I would have preferred scrambled eggs. Nevertheless, the tacos were still very tasty, especially when paired with the green sauce that came on the side.

Party of six on Thursday night. the waiter was slow and seemed uninterested. the orders for drinks were taken, but the waiter did not ask what kind of margarita I would like (frozen or on ice). as orderings for the meal, the waiter went to a table near and sat with five other servers putzgeschirr for future use. he has not checked with our table to see if we need a service. the drink order was only served when we asked where it was. when we got his attention to order further drinks, you did not arrive and a party at our table was necessary to go into the bar, order them again and serve the drink itself. six of the employees were again at the table cleaning silver for the further use. we will take our decisions seriously before we come back to tacos and tequilas.
