Chat Thai - Haymarket

We went there after reading the reviews and because it was recommended by the guide. The place is tight and you are all stuck together, you have to do the stunts to get out of the place, if you are lucky you will get a chair otherwise a stool and keep your jacket and bag on your knees Varied menu, nothing of excellent quality, friendly staff and prices in the average.

Impressive Thai food! Everything tasted authentic and high quality ingredients. Will definitely return here when in Sydney. Better than much of the Thai food we had in Bangkok.

Excellent food but very busy. When you arrive you put your name on the sheet and wait, we arrived early and only had a 20 min wait, later when we left there was a good crown waiting. The menu is extensive and the wait staff very helpful in ensuring you are aware the dish was mild, hot or flaming!. The service was very slick with the food coming quickly & hot. Great value with 4 of us eating well for less than $25 per person, it is licensed and has some nice wines.The location is just across from the Capital and if you are going to a show well placed, they dont take bookings until after 8pm (thats when show starts) worth the wait, enjoy

Visited last year this time and went back; such a shame that menu has changed but still good with food (Massuman has changed as they were much tender before and sadly my fave hokkien noodle is gone! But I enjoyed flat noodle with egg & chicken with my all time fave strawberry juice!!!).Lovely atmosphere always with staffs with smiles :) Definately going back to visit more often!

We enjoyed our quick Lunch, the food was very nice. Larb Gai and the Khao Duck were very tasty and fresh. There is room for improving the service, but was ok.
