This really small outlet (has a solitary table in the corner) serves Taiwanese food. Although you would be lured by the 8oz or 12oz chicken I decided I would try something different. I had the Taiwanese Stewed Pork Rice. It was mostly rice but had a nice flavour to it and hit the spot. I also had Chicken Nuggets (Pepper) which had a delicious crunchy coating and a nice seasoning which was moreish as well as a Corn & Broccoli which the portion was smallish compared to the picture as only one small piece of corn with the broccoli but served with a delicious sauce as well. Prices are decent and good for a meal or snack.
I was curious to try Proser's Cut, which was released on the Goulburn Street in Sydney CBD a few months, so that last night there was a shot. Hungry, I have ordered the extra large chicken piece with plum salz season. Grief First, this is a massive chicken, bigger than the standard Hot Star. Grief It has a very good crispy coating. Really crispy! The plum spice added a really nice sweet taste without compromising from the crunchiness if she poured wet sauce over it. Grief Only that is that it was probably a bit too big and struggled in the end. However, this usually exists there on fans of this kind of fried chicken to discuss ... Is it just me or frustrated too frustrated that there are bones as soon as they come to an end ??? I like to plow only through these pieces, but you will find them 3/4 of the way and must first chew the bones. In a way, I feel somehow, as if it were false advertising, as they claim to be so big, but then a fair share is to be bones. Grief Grief I can not deny that it is really delicious fried chicken, it wished it would be more a schnitzel without the bones !! Grief Anyway, I give this a 3/5, as in my head, this kind of fried chicken places do not compete with butter, the juicy lucy and thirsty bird, but fill a place when you have a fried chicken attempt.
The Taiwanese supersized fried chicken schnitzel certainly got our attention. This is another Taiwanese fried chicken shop and is similar to Hot-Star or 3Q Chicken. The selling point seems to be its giant size. It also offers various seasonings. We got the teriyaki flavoured as the shopstaff highly recommended it. The size was certainly huge .. and it is measured in oz? What is that equivalent to in kg? It was piping hot and we asked the shop to cut the chicken in pieces for ease of eating. However the shop indicated that the chicken is served as a whole and they do not cut it for you. weekendnotes.com
Walking around Chinatown to pass the time, and we stumbled on cheering. Another Taiwanese chicken joint to meet the market. I had my first experience in Chatswood and was very interested in introducing Wifefsnackingbear to your menu. When we have already eaten on two other places for lunch and dessert ... I just decided to take a crate of her huge squid ... what I have coupled with some chili powder. The service here was nice and friendly ... and the food came out extremely fast. The stand is quite small, with just a table for food The quality was just as well as I remembered. The chili powder gave a beautiful Chili kick without being exceeded, and I think pretty good value for money for a money for 9.50 years.
Walking around Chinatown to pass the time and we stumbled upon Cheers Cut. Another Taiwanese Chicken joint to hit the market. I had my first experience at Chatswood and was very keen to introduce WifeOfSnackingBear to their menu. As we already dined at two other places for lunch and dessert... I only decided to grab a box of their giant squid... which I paired with some chilli powder. The service here was nice and friendly... and the food came out extremely fast. The stall is quite small with only one table to dine at but I enjoyed going for a troll to Word Square and sat down between the builds and people watched with the wife as we picked through the box of squid. The quality was just as good as I remembered it. The chilli powder gave a nice chilli kick without being too overbearing and I think fairly good value for money for $9.50.
