Of the cities I have visited around the world, Sydney seems to have the most Malaysian restaurants outside of Malaysia that I have encountered.
Petaling was fairly easy to find from google maps, and right on the street Don't be off put by the super narrow entrance inside.
Tried fish head noodle soup. Fish head was fried. Slightly too oily. Soup looked creamy but pickle was overpowering. Quite cheap for cbd location
Heard about this place from a friend long time ago, but never tried it until tonight:) The restaurant looks small and no dining atmosphere but the food was fantastic! Service was friendly, food was quick! The roti was super super nice, chicken curry on the side was actually just so so, but chicken was tender at least. Hainanese chicken has always been one of my fave dishes, which turned out great, the chicken was soft and juicy, the rice really tasted great and i could smell the aroma. the sauce on the side was quite interesting too, could tell lime juice and ginger but dunno what it was exactly. sweet banana roti was not good, will avoid. Overall, the price was very reasonable for casual dining out or a quick lunch/dinner. will come back for multiple times I reckon.
