It's been a while since I visited Ramen Kan and unexpectedly it was really good, they still keep their standard high. I had the Miso Ramen and their broth was flavoursome. It was a balance of umami, salty and spicy (not that spicy). Also suprisingly the Ramen was affordable, 11 dollars for a large extra 4 dollars for Gyoza.<br/ <br/ Overall I had a great experience, food was good and it was welcoming. Would recommend to come again!
Now, we know that Ramen Kan has some questionable Ramen options, and a lot of our Japanese friends think it may not be the best/authentic Ramen that you can get out there in Sydney. However, Ramen Kan is our absolute favourite! <br/ <br/ Head here on a rainy evening for the best spicy Ramen you can possibly find! Their Pork Hot and Spicy Ramen is absolutely delicious and BOMB spicy! This is not for the faint hearted, so choose this one wisely. We head over to Ramen Kan with friends all the time, and here's what we stick to ordering and recommend: <br/ Karaage Chicken good chunky crispy fried chicken what's not to love? <br/ Spicy Edamame Beans a little twist on the traditional bowl of healthy goodness. <br/ If pork is not your thing, Chicken broth Ramen, which is amazing too! You do get an option to make it spicy, and have your Karaage Chicken on the side instead of dunked and soggy.<br/ Last but not the least Cheese Karaage Ramen from what we hear, this is one of the whackiest combinations of Ramen here, but weirdly amazingly delicious! Definitely try this with fried chicken and cheese, you know you're piling up all the calories for the week ahead!
Stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised. Wait staff was nice and helpful and my order came out extremely quick. Had the spicy ramen and gyoza and both were delicious. Will go back
This Japanese restaurant is hidden in a building at Haymarket, the environment is quiet and relaxing. You order your food on a tablet which is great for introverts :P you can see Paddy's Market/trams from the window while you enjoy your meal. The food taste great, non-oily and authentic. The menu has a range of traditional Japanese dishes, I definitely recommend the place!
