Metro Taquero - Hayward

Came here for lunch and the beer on Hahn was lucky?. Great atmosphere, many seats inside and outside and the busts were amazing, exactly what we were looking for.

In Hayward, just off of Mission Street in what is hayward's equivalent of a little Zocalo, Latino couples, and Families walk around in the summer evening enjoying the nice weather, and also the delicious tacos from Metro Taquero. Small chain with three locations in the East Bay, this particular location had some rock-solid tacos, and good fresh sides. I ordered 2 Al pastor, 2 carnitas, and one Pollo Asado. They were all really good, I was happy to see that they were cooking most of the meat fresh on the grill, the staff was really cool. Even at some of the better Taco places I can't find a really Soul searing hot sauce, but this place did not disappoint, as they have house sauce called Salsa Diabla, which had a nice solid burn. If you're in Hayward I would highly recommend this place, as it was my first visit, and it was really good, and I intend to return.

I came in yesterday at 2 ordered steak fries a large drink. The business was not busy, it was slow. So my food was ready pretty quickly and they called out my order number. I get up it?s in a bag already and they offer jalapeños and salsa. So I get home took Bart) and I open it up to find there isn?t any steak on the steak fries which was a huge disappointment because I paid for them $11.99+ $1 charge because of something, I didn?t finish reading the reason why that was taped on the register). I called them they said they can?t do anything about it, so please check your bags before leaving the place if you order to-go in person) bc they said they can?t do anything about it unless you are at their store in person. I gave them my number but have yet to receive a call back. I loved eating at metro taqueros there?s a couple in the bay) but this left a really bad impression on me.

Great food! The owners and employees are good people who really their best into the work that they do. You really get the bang for the buck when you eat here. Don't forget to try the shrimp tacos. The burritos, tacos, and Metro bowl are delicious as well. Gotta get that carne asada! Update 6/17/2018: Just tried the Haystack Burrito for the first time here. It's amazing! Got better with each additional bite I took. Definitely worth the money. Great quality food!

Just flew in from Jersey and this was the first meal we had. I read good reviews and had to come see for myself. We went with the tacos of the days and chose one of each. I couldn?t have asked for more and the food was fresh and tastes delicious. This place is highly recommended.
