Phở Tỷ #ii - Hayward

THIS PLACE CLOSED AS OF LAST WEEK!!! does anyone know what happened? it says they relocated to south hayward. went to check it out and it was restaurant number 2. but different ppl. different vibe. if anyone knows please send me a message or post a new review with info thanks. would like to know if they ppl are doing ok.

This is an excellent and extremely authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I have been buying Bun bo Hue at this place for more than 10 years. No other Vietnamese restaurants in Castro Valley, Concord and Walnut Creek beat the taste of this dish.The price is reasonable. The taste is unique. Give it a try and you know what I write here is the truth.

I wanted to like this place as a vietnamese person, but it wasn’t very good.The interiors were messy with toys strewn all over. I understand if they need to look after their kid while working, but it wasn’t a good look combined with the cluttered feeling.The broths seem like the use an excessive amount of sugar or msg. msg is definitely great for flavor, but the amount they used ended up overpowering any amount of natural sweetness from the daikon, vegetables used to make the base of the soup. I’d recommend you stick to the rice plates and grilled meats if you’re looking to give it a try. I ordered the thit nuong, and it was nice and smoky.Spruce up your decor and work on your broths, there will be major improvement!

Food was great. Service was friendly. No complaints . Yet!.... ??
