I always find great deals in gifts and clothing here as well. A must place to stop, it is open year round with reduced winter hours.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and homemade. The shop has a variety of high-quality goods to browse and purchase after your meal. The staff is friendly and helpful. While the location is a bit off the beaten path, it's worth exploring new parts of Nova Scotia. The exterior of the restaurant could use some maintenance. However, overall, it was a lovely lunch and I would recommend it.
While exploring the eastern shore, my son, daughter-in-law, and I stumbled upon this charming restaurant and gift shop. The service was incredibly friendly on both ends, and the food was superb. I will definitely be coming back.
We stopped by the Tin Roof Mercantile and Cafe during your eastern shore beach crawl and were surprised to find this little gem. We had a lovely lunch of seafood chowder, homemade breads and savory pies. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the owners attentive and helpful. Only negative critique was the nondescript elevator music. The mercantile had a little of everything, including nice clothing.
The atmosphere was cozy and the fireplace was on. The service was excellent as was the food. Can't wait to go again!
