Totem Inn - HEALY

We just stopped in for a quick lunch on our way from Fairbanks to Anchorage. We were treated so well and the food was great! It's off season and we were in a bit of a rush and they helped us get in and out quickly. We loved the French fries and everything else. I would definitely stop here anytime we come through.

We stopped in at the restaurant for a late lunch. A very pleasant experience. Two of us, being vegan, had falafel sandwiches; the other person had a salmon sandwich. All the food was excellent. The waitress was friendly and engaging. A couple of the diners joined in the conversation. The whole thing was very delightful I felt like I was in an episode of the old show Northern Exposure. A nice place to stop for a bite to eat and a little conversation on a cold Alaskan day.

Only thing open in the area and not bad at all! Very friendly staff and good food, large menu and fair prices. We got soup and pasta at the restaurant. Soup was excellent, pasta was average. They are not open on Mondays and Tuesdays due to staffing, everything was fast when we went.

Located about miles north of Denali National Park, this hotel is one of the best and more local-friendly in the area. It doesn’t give off the ultra-tourist vibes a lot of the hotels in Denali give off and it’s a lot more laid back. There is an attached pub and restaurant. Additionally, there is a pool, gym, and sauna. The rooms are comfortable and cool during the summer. The area is very nice if you’re a local and trying to stay close to Denali without having to deal with all the tourists’ ignorance and behavior.

I always stop at this place on my Alaska trip. its been times and the lady at front desk is always extremly helpful and sweet. Super clean hotel. The entrance is beautiful. the only thing I felt negative was the employee at the kitchen who was making breakfast. he was extremly rude and didn't even reply my greet and didn't answered whatever i asked for. but it didn't hold me from rating hotel star as everyone else treated us nicely all the time
