Drove here from Indiana just to find it closed after saying their open, thanks for wasting my time and gas. Guess I'll go to Canes.

Ever since the lockdowns 3 years ago, this restaurant is nearly never open and works on their own hours. The owners pick and choose when they open and close, and varies from day to day. Do not waste your time reading their hours online, because more often than not they’ll be “closed early” regardless. Food quality now is very poor compared to when they first opened, and the management has zero regard for their customer base. Take your money to Raising Cane’s if you’re in the mood for a Raising Cane’s knockoff.

I enjoyed the food here as the chicken was soft but on the drier side. texas toast good but not a lot of seasoning. Coleslaw was good and fries on the thicker side a little soft/soggy. Special sauce was excellent! Apparently, Guthrie 's opened in 1965 and Cane 's in 1996. Not wanting to compare but a lot of similarities. My first time dining at Guthrie 's and I will admit, I did enjoy the food but prefer Cane 's on every aspect of The Box items.
