The golden anker in heidelberg is centrally located in the old town directly opposite the concert house. very popular and quite small, it fills up quickly. it offers a combination of Spanish inspired tapas and other creative little dressing - remarkable are the tinted fish in black ink and the grilled baby octopus. beautiful selection of wines. highly recommended, although the noise level can be high.

At the last visit it was noticed that the tapas and now eat a small change. but since visitors of the opposite city hall can often be regarded as a running clientele and often guarantee a full house, you might not need to try that anymore. I hope that this development will not continue to be moderate and will only be a temporary weak. the "crispy fried zander" tasted at least after baking from the North Sea and was not worth his money (in summer over 20€). I hope it will be more interesting and better, as before?

We visited the golden anchor spontaneously in the early Saturday evening and were not disappointed.The service was friendly, courteous and competent. eating (mixed tapas plates as appetizer and various main stages) was excellent. the wine recommendations very suitable!We should come back to heidelberg!

Was in the golden anchor last night. even though it was really still very warm, it was very nice to sit in front of the local, I prefer the tables on the side street, not the one at the lower teasar street. I chose the octopussalat, the scampi and the thunfischtartartar. all three dishes were very good. the wine selection is not huge but good. I'll be back soon!
