The place is located on a beautiful place, but this is the best I can say about it. Mostly there was only one waitress, and she was very busy. we have waited for food for over 45 minutes (and then it was all over).
Far away from the center heidelbergs and rarely seen by tourist, this is the evening meeting point for the well-to-see new home set. the market building shares the outside area with a few other expensive bistros, but offers excellent beer and Alsatian specialties (the flame cuisine is excellent) to be reasonable praises. unbeatable for a summer night.
We are masters of this restaurant. in summer they have sitting outdoors on the square where many locals drink their beer or their wine, eat an salad and enjoy the sun. speciality of the house are the flame cake, a kind of pizza with very thin floor. they also serve different salads. seating in the interior are limited, but also beautiful.
The market plug is an intrusive local restaurant in ninheim, on the other side of the river of heidelberg. it is a welcome change from the trubel of the strongly touristy hot mountain and offers good, ground-level kitchen to appropriate trips in a cozy, intimate atmosphere. the staff is friendly and efficient and offers summer seating on the plaza opposite the restaurant.
