Ok, now I know what a cat's head biscuit is. Spoiler Alert: actual cats are not served here, sorry! The meals that are served might be embarrassing because you might lick the plate! Very friendly crew. Nice delicious place to eat.Parking: Arrive early. There are parking places behind the store, too. Hay lugares detrás de la tienda, también.

I dined at this restaurant twice in two days because it was so delicious. If my grandmother were still alive, she would have given it 5 stars, and she was the best country cook I've ever known. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. I cannot praise Dottie's enough. I will definitely eat there again next time I'm in Helen. It's truly a hidden gem.

Don't be fooled by the reviews you read, it is not a good place to enjoy breakfast. We don't mind waiting, but for this, it is not worth it. The place is small and very disorganized, it is done cafeteria style, which is also very disorganized, don't matter about the menu on the wall, your getting charged for the Dottie special whether you like it or not. The price is outrageous, for this style and lack of variety and quality and quantity of food. There is no service, you have to get everything yourself. Seating is very uncomfortable. Be mindful that they lock the entrance door after you come in, with no other exit usable. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. Also they have confused individuals working here.

Frozen potatoes, powder eggs. No OJ. But the biscuits were real good, gravy was ‘meh’. Kinda grungy/dirty. The staff was friendly and helpful though. Cafeteria style.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. After seeing excellent reviews, my daughter and I tried it. We split the Dottie’s special, two eggs, meat, and home fries with two cat head biscuits and a side of pancakes. The food and service was excellent. Two hours later , I discovered my credit card was missing. We retraced our steps back to Dottie’s. There was a couple sitting at the table we had been seated at. The employees asked the couple if they would mind standing, and the card was in the corner of the booth. They are so kind. Please visit for breakfast and lunch when in Helen, Georgia. Their food, and service is amazing!!!
