Smokey's Joe's Bbq - Helendale

I stopped for fuel on a work trip, and the smell coming from this bbq trailer was so good I just had to try it. Unfortunately I was so hungry I didn't waste any time to take a picture of my food to share with y'all. My friend and I both got a two item combo. We both had their ribs, potato salad and greens. Everything was fantastic!!! I'll definitely be coming back!!!

No, just no. The BBQ here is not good; I can make much better at home. I'm pretty sure they use store-bought Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, lol. They participated in a local BBQ competition and lost to a home cook who absolutely nailed it and won the whole thing.

Smokey Joe's BBQ is an absolute must-try! I was a bit hesitant at first since it’s a catering truck, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. We ordered the tri-tip, which was served hot on a soft piece of sandwich bread. It was incredibly moist, tender, and bursting with flavor! The BBQ sauce is so delicious that I could have eaten it straight with a spoon! I can’t wait to go back and try the ribs and hot links next time. I'll keep you updated! This place is definitely worth a visit!

The experience was just alright, nothing exceptional. Seeing a pile of store-bought pine firewood really put me off. When I ordered the hotlink, it turned out to be the size of an Oscar Meyer hotdog. The other items were also merely average.
