Situated on the recreational island of Pihlajasaari, it is the only dining option on the island, offering a summer paradise with sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, and a nature reservation area. Just 300 meters from the harbor, the restaurant is easily accessible by waterbus or ferry from Helsinki city center. With indoor seating and a seaside terrace offering stunning views, the restaurant serves a variety of dishes including salads, soups, seafood, vegetarian options, drinks, and desserts. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open from May to the end of August.
My boyfriend and I visited restaurant Pihlajasaari during the midsummer weekend. I ordered pasta in mushroom sauce and was disappointed with both the quality and price. The food was average, simple, and tasted like convenience food, not worth the price of around 15 euros. However, there are not many restaurant options on the island and other dishes seemed good. The service was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasant as the building is an old villa. I would recommend having a picnic outside if you can bring your own food and the weather is nice, as the island offers many good picnic spots.
Very good restaurant, delicious food and very good and attentive workers
Many thanks to strange strangers who have found my wallet and returned them to the ferry. saves me from great difficulties of renewing everything! with honesty and respect for selfishness of others and helpfulness this world is so much better to live for all of us
