Drinks orders taken, all served very well. My lemonade was really lovely Starters, we had the garlic bread to share for two, very nice and I suspect completely homemade My main was Penne Picante and a side order of Pane bread (again homemade), I was asked if I would like olive oil to dip and which type I would prefer, I had the chilli. Very large serving and superbly cooked/presented I simply had a coffee for desert as I couldn’t manage another mouthful despite the lovely sounding desert menu and the specials board To sum up. A very enjoyable evening, we appreciated the hard work from the front of house. The service was excellent as was the food. The cost was no more than another restaurant visited recently but they are worlds apart Thank you Mr Giuseppe. We will be back very soon
We were staying at the Premier Inn in Helston and, having walked into the town (about half an hour), were rather disappointed to find that most of the good restaurants on Tripadvisor seemed to be in Porthleven, 2.5 miles away. Eventually we found Giuseppe's and booked in for 7pm. For starters I had a bruschetta and my wife a mozzarella dish. For mains I had the Duck with fruit sauce and my wife had Pollock and both were delicious. With a big glass of good quality house wine each (me red, her white) followed by coffee the bill came to about fifty quid.
We once again brought our son to this restaurant for a top-notch meal this evening. Simon, who was visiting from Hertfordshire for the weekend, says it's the best Italian food he's ever had. He mentioned he'll be back in seven weeks when he returns for a wedding. He's looking forward to the Whitebait dish. Thank you for the excellent service. Regards, Sue, Steve, and Simon.
Long awaited trip to Giuseppe's didn't disappoint despite being very quiet so lacking some atmosphere. Excellent food cooked to order.
Visited twice while on a working holiday on the Lizard, once by ourselves and then we dragged two local friends along. This is a lovely slightly quirky little restaurant; you won't get fine dining, but you will get very well fed at a very reasonable price. We didn'tt trybthe pizzas, but between us we tried the pasta, fish, duck and a range of starters and very good they all were. This is a father/daughter operation, dad in the kitchen and daughter front of house, and it works well here, good service on both visits. The house wine is excellent value. And there was grappa. I love grappa. Sorry to hear it's for sale, but I hope it's still there next time we're in Helston.
