Hands down my favorite poke place in Vegas. There's usually a line so I'd be prepared to wait a little bit or place an order over the phone, but it's worth it. Everyone's so kind and we always recommend this spot to our friends looking for a solid poke spot in the valley. This location is on the smaller side but they have lots of snacks and other goods to look at while you wait. The poke is always so fresh and the prices are reasonable for per pound poke. When we're in the area and wanting a nice lunch, the single scoop portion with rice is perfect (and about $10)! The Spicy Ahi Masago, Limu Ahi, and Kimchi Tako are our favorites the kimchi cucumbers are a must!
I've had Poke Express a couple of times and they always provide the best poke. In fact, they provide the most authentic that reminds me so much of Hawaii, it's the closest I can get. I always go for the Spicy Ahi Masago but I always switch it out on their other variety of mussels, salmon, tako, or ahi options. You can catch this place usually busy with a line , sometimes from outside that I've seen before but it is brief and goes by fast! It's the opposite of where I live, but I definitely never regret driving the miles.
I had the pleasure of visiting Poke Express today, and let me tell you, it was amazing. As a frequent visitor to Hawaii, I've been searching for fresh and authentic poke, and I finally found it at Poke Express. I was craving it so much that I didn't mind driving 20 minutes just to satisfy my cravings. The staff was very helpful in suggesting the best ahi poke, and I took their advice and tried the pau hana. It had a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and garlicky flavors, topped with crab meat. I also sampled the scallop, and although it was delicious, I was in the mood for raw fish today. I ordered 1/4lb of each fish pau hana ahi, salmon avocado (which isn't on the menu), spicy ahi combo (mixed with crab meat), and Hawaiian ahi. The salmon was my favorite because it had a perfect combination of savory, sweet, and a little bit of spice. The spicy ahi combo had a bit too much mayo for my taste, but it was still enjoyable. I can't wait to come back and try their tako because they have three different flavors available. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. The staff was friendly, and the shop had a great atmosphere that reminded me of being back in Hawaii. The total cost for all four poke choices and rice with furikake was only $26, which is very affordable. The only downside is that there are only two locations, one in Henderson and one in North Las Vegas. I wish there was one closer to me, but the drive is definitely worth it for the quality and taste of the poke!
It's definitely what you expect, if you know what you are walking into. I was surprised to not find seating but then again I didn't research it. I looked at the ratings and walked right in. Being that it was my first time, I didn't know when to do but the pleasant staff helped me along and directed me very well. The food is amazingly fresh, the seasoning was perfect and the rice brought it all together. Will definitely come here again.
