Umi - Hendersonville

Umi is without a doubt my top choice for Sushi and other Japanese cuisine in the Hendersonville area. I have visited the restaurant multiple times and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and service.

I recently discovered this amazing restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious sushi they offer. The unique flavor combinations make each bite exciting and leave you wanting more. The service was fantastic and overall we had a wonderful experience.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! There is a wide variety of options available, including some vegan sushi. The staff is usually very informed, but on occasion, if they are unsure about something, they are more than happy to double-check with the kitchen.

Warning: Poor service, 90 sanitation score. We drove 45 minutes to this restaurant with my husband and dog to celebrate his 30th birthday, only to be told that they no longer seat outside more than an hour before closing. If they are changing their outdoor seating policy, they should update their website or business hours. We have been loyal customers for 5 years and have never experienced this treatment before. Additionally, their sanitation score is only 90. It is best to avoid eating here until they improve. The hostess apologized, but the manager seemed indifferent. Something is clearly wrong at this restaurant right now. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants in the area to choose from.
