Frida Kahlo - Heredia

Eight of us enjoyed conversation, margueritas and light dinner on a Wednesday. Food and drinks were marvelous--music and atmosphere fun. Frida memorabilia and intriguing photos of old Mexico City line the walls. The Only negative was traffic noise with front room window open for air. I believe that all of us will go back on occasion.

We booked a table for 8 people 4 weeks in advance . A birthday party. The reservation worked out perfectly Although the restaurant has some rules regarding the menu while booking the separate dining room we enjoyed they were very flexible. The food was delicious and the service excellent !

Food was good but could be better. Expensive for what you get. Service was very good. We would probably not go back. 4 fish tacos w/a finger size piece of fish in each one, cilantro, onions, chipotle sauce for condiments. Creme brûlée was really Arroz con leche. No Flan. Very noisy in the food areas but Ticos like it that way, we do not.

Great experience! Jonathan, our waiter, was the second great thing this restaurant offered with perfect unobtrusive service. The actual restaurant at Oxigeno provides a great experience with its art pieces by Frida Kahlo and with great taste in the decor. The third part, the food, was really great with it’s pristine presentation, rich flavour and well-thought creations based on real Mexican dishes. We hope to return soon and enjoy the unbelievable margaritas.

Fantastic Mexican food, with authentic flavors, such great service and prices reasonable. Compliments to the chef for an amazing food experience!
